The MidAtlantic Tournament is one of the most competitive offshore events on the East Coast, operating across two ports simultaneously — Canyon Club Resort Marina in Cape May, New Jersey, and Sunset Marina in Ocean City, Maryland. The 35th Annual runs August 16–21, 2026. Teams choose three out of five available fishing days and can depart from any inlet between New Jersey and Virginia, with weigh-ins held nightly at both ports. In 2025, 198 boats competed for a total purse of $5.75 million — the tournament has produced individual payouts exceeding $1.4 million on a single white marlin. The IGFA has recognized the MidAtlantic as one of the sport's premier events. Black Book has vessels positioned for the Ocean City and Cape May tournament window. If you want to fish the MidAtlantic on a privately owned, tournament-rigged sportfish boat, this is where to start.
