The Charleston Billfish Invitational is the opening leg of the South Carolina Governor's Cup Billfishing Series — one of the most competitive multi-event billfish circuits on the East Coast. The 2026 event runs May 6–9 out of Sea Breeze Marina in Charleston, South Carolina. For teams competing in the full Governor's Cup series, this is where the points race starts. If you want to fish Charleston on a privately owned, tournament-rigged sportfish boat with a crew that competes at this level, Black Book has vessels positioned in the Carolinas for tournament season.
