The Shootout: Custom v Production
The Shootout - Production vs. Custom is an exclusive, invitation-only sportfishing tournament scheduled for April 30 to May 3, 2025, at the Abaco Beach Resort & Boat Harbour Marina in Abaco, Bahamas. This unique event pits production boats against custom boats in an all-release format, aiming to settle the age-old debate of which design reigns supreme. Limited to 60 inboard boat teams of 33 feet or larger, participants are selected by invitation to represent their respective manufacturers.
The tournament features three days of competitive fishing, with lines in at 8:30 AM and lines out at 4:30 PM each day. Evenings are filled with social events, including dinners and cocktail gatherings, fostering camaraderie among participants. The event culminates in an awards dinner, celebrating the achievements of the anglers and crews.
