IGFA Light Tackle Open

The IGFA Light Tackle Open is an annual two-day fishing tournament held at the Sailfish Marina Resort in Palm Beach Shores, Florida. Organized by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), this event takes place during the peak of South Florida's sailfish season. Anglers are required to use a maximum line class of 12-pound test and adhere strictly to IGFA Angling Rules, providing a platform for light tackle enthusiasts to demonstrate their skills and sportsmanship. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the IGFA Great Marlin Race, supporting billfish conservation through satellite tagging programs.
