Ducks Unlimited- Band the Billfish

Established in 1989, the North Carolina Ducks Unlimited (NCDU) Band the Billfish Tournament has become a cornerstone event for both conservationists and sportfishing enthusiasts. Over its history, the tournament has achieved a remarkable 99% release rate, with the last decade boasting a perfect 100% release of all billfish caught. This commitment to sustainable fishing practices underscores the event's dedication to marine conservation.

Beyond its conservation efforts, the tournament has made significant contributions to habitat projects, generating over $1 million to support Ducks Unlimited initiatives within North Carolina and in northern breeding grounds vital for migratory birds.
